So I've been looking at my photos from now to the beginning of time and it's really amazing how one evolves and grows as time passes by.  Not only in what we do but who we are.  No doubt more changes will come but I thought it was a pretty neat thing to mention.  If you ever get the chance, go back to your very first works of art, be it drawings or photographs, and just take a look at how much you've learned and applied new knowledge or themes to your work.  Reflect.

So July 4th weekend came and went.  You know what that meant, right?  Learning opportunity!  Yeah!  So it was my second chance at photographing fireworks.  Of course, these ones were easier as they were just fountains.  I would have had some mortar-like shots but I had forgot my SD card at home when I went to see the professional show.  I did however, have my tripod which proved to be EXTREMELY helpful!  It was a fun and productive experience.  I think I need to get myself a remote for the thing in the near future. :)

Summer is almost here!  And without landing my internship, that means I have free time for photography :D.  I'm hoping to get a Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Zoom Lens.  I am worried about reviews of color fringing though... If anyone has any suggestions for a low budget zoom lens that's compatible with a Nikon D40x, let me know!  :) Also, I'm hoping to get a tattoo idea drawn out sometime.  I've wanted a tattoo for years now and have finally decided on something that I can permanently carry around.  Problem is, finding an artist that has some free time to sketch it up for me :/
